Waiting...

After finding out the news that my brother in law has blocked arteries, we are in Oakdale, La. waiting until Wednesday, Dec. 31st, when he will have by-pass surgery. He has to be at the hospital at 5:15 a.m. and surgery will be at 7 a.m. What a way to start the new year, being waited on hand and foot (by all those nurses...)

  1. Happy New Year! There are ways to get attention with a lot less effort! Heard of another friend who had 15 blockages and a quad bypass earlier this month. He's recovering now. But this means I have to diet now, as Joann isn't going to let up...two friends having same surgery. No more McDonald's. We will be praying and if we can be of assistance, let us know!

  2. Tim has been my best friend for years; he and I grew up (well, okay...I grew up; he just got older!) together, finding all sorts of meanness to get into. To think of my buddy being so old that he has to have open-heart surgery is depressing. I wish he weren't so old...

Take care, Tim... I'll talk with you in a few days.

  3. Karyn: Thanks so much for doing this! To Tim, Dana, Lauren, Ryan and the rest of the family . . . Prayers are with you. Tim, you are in the BEST of hands. God has you in His palm - the safest place of all! Dr. Dewitt and the team at Cabrini are exceptional. I have no doubt you'll come out of this better - and more spoiled than ever! Love you all - If there's anything I can do let me know.
